mostly commonly used with bluetooth, e.g smartphone, airpods and watch, usually used to network devices within a short range of an individual

found in smaller areas and buildings,e.g your house or office and in our school, all connected to one network
Pros: speed especially with ethernet cable, costs and easy to set up
Cons: limited distance

Wide Area Network (WAN)
A
Covering a large area, e.g different countries around the world, the internet is the largest known wide area network, Speed can be slow
