What does NIC do?
NICs breaks files into smaller data units called frames, to send across the network and reassembles the frames it receives into whole files.
How is data moved from one PC to another?
Data is moved from one PC to another in chunks called Frames.
What is a segment?
The connection between a computer and a switch is called segment.

What is a router?
A router is a device that has at lest two IP address. One that connects to your LAN’s switch and on that connects to the next network. The next network could be your ISP provider or another router at your company.
Define default Gateway
The IP address of the LAN side of your router is the address your computers uses to send data to anything outside your network ID.
What is DNS and its function?
Domain Name Service: Keeps databases of IP addresses and their corresponding names.
