A

unilateral facial MUSCLE weakness without other focol neuro defecits

primarily idiopathic, also seen in pregnancy, diabetes, infection

most resolve w/out tx, prednisone + valacyclovir/acyclovir

*corneal abrasion is a complication if eye closure is effected –> nighttime taping
