Clinical features of Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome

A

Exposure to a dopamine antagonist e.g. haloperidol or sudden discontinuation of dopamine agonist e.g. Parkinson’s

Major Criteria: Fever, muscle rigidity (Often described as lead-pipe), Raised CK
Minor: Tachycardia, abnormal BP, tachypnoea, altered consciousness, diaphoresis
