Abnormal findings CN I - Olfactory
cannot test smell (sinusitis, resp. infxn.), Anosmia (loss/ reduction of smell)
Abnormal findings CN II - Optic
Visual field loss, papilledema with increase intracranial pressure; optic atrophy
Abnormal findings CN III, IV, VI (Oculomotor, trochlear, abducens nerves)
Ptosis (drooping), Increasing intracranial pressure, Strabismus (deviated gaze), limited movement, Nystagmus
Abnormal findings CN V (trigeminal)
Motor- decreased strength, asymmetry in jaw movement, pain
Sensory- decreased/ unequal sensation
Abnormal findings CN VII (facial)
muscle weakness/ loss of movement, drooping, sagging,
