A

Check for small swelling

Check for hypodense areas

When would you do a carotidectomy?

A

When there’s a plaque in the carotid that can be removed, to prevent a stroke, this is usually done after first stroke to prevent second. Clip both ends, circle of willis will take over blood supply.

A

AF, counteracted by anticoags and aspirin.
