Assignments posted on Google Classroom must be submitted by
8:10 am , regardless of what it says on Google classroom unless she says otherwise.
If a student forgets to click “Submit” on an assignment, it
Wont receive credit
Late assignments will not be accepted unless
a parent or guardian emails me with
the reason for the child’s absence, or inability to complete the assignment by its due
date.
Students will have
two expected quizzes and tests per month, which may include
short-response questions, multiple-choice, or a combination of both.
Pop quizzes will be given
to ensure students are reviewing notes, videos, and assigned readings.

will be posted on Google classroom
Students are expected to take notes
when concepts are explained in greater depth. It
is not feasible for the teacher to repeatedly say, “You should be copying this” or
“This is important.”
Sleeping in class
is not permitted, neither is putting your head down.
Detentions will be issued
if you talk out of designated collaborative time.
The midterm grades reflect
that some students are not actively listening, resulting
in gaps in understanding. Improved attentiveness is required moving forward.
Behavior
No mocking of incorrect answwers
No slurs
No mocking of people reading
Goal for the year
It is my goal that all students leave my classroom with a deeper understanding of English
and its conventions than when they began the year.
