Samuel de Champlain: Set up a successful colony, founded Acadia and Quebec, made friends.
Jacques Cartier: Didn’t set up a successful colony, made enemies, killed and kidnapped 9 people.
How did the Acadians meet their basic needs
They didn’t have many good living conditions but met their basic needs by farming, fishing and hunting.
How did the Mi’kmaq feel about the French
They didn’t like them in the beginning. But then started to trade furs and resources so they let them share the land as long as the Mi’maq have access to it.
Why did Champlain have conflict with the Haudenosaunee
It’s because John Cabot told them that they are French and the Haudenosaunee had problems with European people before.
