Q

criticisms for the New Right’s policy solutions

A

Patriarchy - policies which support the traditional nuclear family assume that is it natural rather than socially constructed. This promotes patriarchy through subordinating women into performing the expressive role.
Family diversity - ignores the suitability of other family types
Poverty - cutting welfare unfairly disadvantages low income families, pushing them further into poverty.
