A

Norm setting is how the media reinforces and emphasises conformity to social norms and values, additionally the isolate those who do not conform (make them media reports) - media is therefore a type of control, media can choose what is important and what “is news”

A

Moral panics show the media’s ability to define what is normal and what is deviant/unacceptable. At the same time as this they are also earning money thru attracting. Moral panic according to Mcrobbie and Thornton isnt common nowadays due to 24/7 coverage by mobile devices

A

New tech means new stories from around the world can be shared instantly. New ticket also made wait for more citizen journalism (story shot on Phone). Citizen journalism has also developed traditional journalism as exposes, offensive or illegal actions committed by people with power.
