Explain what is meant by a hospital trust, and explain the roles of NHS England, integrated care systems and the CQC in the NHS at a local and national level.
Hospital trust = trusts that are part of and run by the NHS but have more freedom in how they run their hospital and the demands
Roles of NHS England = umbrella body which oversees all healthcare systems in England - independent to the department of health
Integrated care system = partnership which bring together NHS organisations, local authorities etc to take responsibility for services , health and inequalities
CQC = core quality commission - regulator of healthcare - publish findings and ratings to inform choices and set standards - monitor and inspect services to meet standards to take action
Briefly define devolution and list THREE other key areas that are devolved in Scotland to the Scottish Government.
where powers are delegated from a higher power to a lower area - ie from central government to local/other countries
