A

In Night, Akiba Drumer is a supporting figure. He sings traditional Hasidic songs in the concentration camps, inspiring the other prisoners with his lovely, powerful voice. He even uses arithmetic to interpret the Bible since he is so deeply pious. He loses hope, though, as Block 36 is picked.
