Who is Moishe
Moishe was Elie’s teacher and his friend and Moishe got deported and saw many traumatizing things. When Moishe returned from being deported he was sad and no longer sang. He tried to tell people what he saw but no one believed him.

Who is Stein
This is Elie’s cousin, they meet in Auschwitz where stein is desperate for new about his family. Elie lies to Stein, telling him that Stein’s wife and children are still alive safe.
Elie’s family
Elie had a mother and father and three siblings. He had to leave his mother and sisters forever.
Who is Akiba Drumer
In Night, Akiba Drumer is a supporting figure. He sings traditional Hasidic songs in the concentration camps, inspiring the other prisoners with his lovely, powerful voice. He even uses arithmetic to interpret the Bible since he is so deeply pious. He loses hope, though, as Block 36 is picked.

The young pipel was a young servant who was tortured and eventually condemned to death.

Elie inherited his father’s knife and spoon.
Conditions in the infirmary
The conditions in the infirmary were he got to sleep in sheets and he got good bread and thicker soup. There was no bell, work, or roll call. The people who stayed in the infirmary were liberated by the Russians two days after the evacuation.
Who is Juliek
A young boy who had a violin and the only thing he was concerned about was his violin.
Snow
The danger of falling asleep in the snow was falling asleep forever.
