Q

Why is it possible to live without having a brain?

A

Because the body compensates for its weak points. The functions of the brain were “reassigned”.

Same reason why blind people have a better sense of touch and smell - they need to adjust and adapt in order to survive.

20
Q

Reticular Activation System (RAS)

A

How you sense and process information: by deleting, distorting, and generalizing

21
Q

Psycho-Cybernetic Mechanism (PCM)

A

Designed to keep you in your comfort zone at all costs.

The body loves efficiency, thus, comfort. Breaking out of the comfort zone leaves you vulnerable and at risk, which the body and mind doesn’t like

22
Q

Amygdala

A

Purpose is to sense leaving the comfort zone and trigger stress hormones to bring you back.

Right-hand man of the PCM

23
Q

Temporal Memories

A

Memories stored in relationship to time; chronological manner / sequence of events

24
Q

Atemporal Memories

A

Memories unrelated to time: learning a language, etc

25
Q

Where do emotions come from?

A

The Conditioned Mind starts the process by linking senses with meanings and the hypothalamus produces matching chemicals that impact all cells in your body

The heart processes emotions

26
Q

How do your memories get organized?

A

Also by your Conditioned Mind. Links all happy memories together, etc

27
Q

Why do we repress unresolved memories?

A

Conditioned Mind does this to protect you.
Dealing with negative emotions and memories constantly would be unbearable.

Burying these emotions take up space, but the Conditioned Mind will bring them to the surface when it feels you are ready to resolve it so it can let these emotions go

28
Q

What is the purpose of the Conditioned Mind?

A

The Conditioned Mind has the blueprint for your body to function, heal, and maintain PERFECTLY.

Preserving the integrity of the body is its #1 priority, and is control of all energy in your body

It needs consistent, clear instructions to work at its best

29
Q

Instincts vs Habits

A

Instincts are naturally installed

Habits are learned over time, usually taking lots of repetitions

NLP Techniques can help change your strategy / patterns, thus installing a new habit without many reps at all.

30
Q

Wholeness

A

Conditioned mind doesn’t need parts.
Fewer the parts, less likely for incongruence.
Being whole = completely congruent

31
Q

Symbols

A

Symbols are liked and used by the Conditioned Mind, although interpreted in its very own unique way.

Each Conditioned Mind may interpret symbols (situations, environments, etc) differently, but they are all accurate bc it is left up for interpretation.

32
Q

Does Not Process Negatives

A

Exactly why we don’t respond well to “Don’t eat junk food” We hear “eat junk food”

Need to change the vocabulary to better get the message across
“Eat healthy food” is much more effective way to cause actual change

33
Q

Functions of your Mind

A

Reason - deductive (benefit you Y-N) & inductive reasoning (product of your environment, only accept and pass along ideas)
Will - energy to keep us moving forward
Imagination - make sense of the world; mental images
Memory - short term (electrical) long term (chemical)
Intuition - inner feeling before you think; vibes you pick up
Perception - see the world only as we have been conditioned to see it as. We don’t see the world for what it really is

34
Q

7 Natural Laws

A
1 - Law of Vibration and Attraction
2 - Everything is Energy
3 - Law of Continuous Transformation of Energy
4 - Law of Polarity
5 - Law of Rhythm
6 - Law of Relativity
7 - Law of Cause and Effect
