History
After the fall of Nazi Germany, the need to decide on new regions in Germany caused the founding of Nordrhein-Westfalen.
The codeword “Operation Marriage” resulted in the founding of NRW on June 6, 1946.
NRW is a merger of Rhineland and Westphalia

Located in central western part of Germany.
