Stage 2 CKD
Mild, GFR: 60 - 89, put on ACE inhibitors unless they cause a cough, then ARBs
Estimate rate of progression
Stage 3 CKD
Moderate, GFR: 30 - 59, evaluate and treat complications, dilate vasculature, reduce pressure within glomerulus
Stage 4 CKD
Severe, GFR: 15 to 29, refer for fistula, prepare for renal replacement therapy
Stage 5 CKD
Failure, GFR < 15, dialysis or transplant if uremic
