Circuit
1500’ - Level off, Set flap 5 speed, select flap 5, A/T speed mode
Set downwind track. Spacing should be about 2nm. (1.5 to 2 triangle symbols)
PM carry out checklists.
Abeam upwind threshold, gear down flap 20
At either, tail of triangle (10nm range) or 35 sec past threshold, flap 30 set Vref and turn base
Set FPV to 1/3 horizon and 3deg line
Landing checklist
Descent Procedure
(Landing performance done and approach entered)
PF asks for descent procedure flap “x”
PM - pushes recall reviews any alert or memo
messages
- discusses operational notes (if any)
- Vref flap “x” entered. Compare with OPT
if non-normal
- minimums set
- nav radio
- autobrake
PF briefs TCTWO then calls for descent checklist
Go Around
PF
Call “GO-AROUND” Push the TOGA switch
Call “FLAPS 20” or “FLAPS___” as needed.
PM
Set the flap lever as directed. Call “FLAPS ___”
Verify a positive rate call “POSITIVE CLIMB.”
PF
Call “GEAR UP.”
Call the FMA and ASA.
Above 400 feet radio altitude, select or verify a roll mode.
Verify that the missed approach altitude is set.
At acceleration height, set speed to the maneuver speed for the planned flap setting. Call “FLAPS__”
(Speed could be 1 click for low level off, 185kt restriction or clean)
After flaps are set to the planned flap setting and at or above the flap maneuvering speed, select FLCH or VNAV
Call “AFTER TAKEOFF CHECKLIST.” Do the AFTER TAKEOFF checklist.
Non ILS Approach with IAN
TCTWO. In operational consider (as appropriate)

RNP value
Confirmation of QNH (last chance appr checklist)
Verify Position and Unable RNP warnings.
Once cleared for approach,ensure:
Speed window open
LNAV VNAV armed
APPR armed
MDA set
Missed Approach alt set at least 300ft below missed approach altitude
LOC appr ensure G/S de-selected
Crosswind
Rolling T/O
Forward control column below 80kts. May need full Into wind aileron.
Consider higher Vr. Up to 20Kts. Can be achieved by selecting windshear on OPT
ILS GLS IAN Breakout
Set MCP first
Above 1500ft
- Select Appr mode. (Pitch roll modes revert)
- Ensure HDG V/S, adjust as required
- Select new desired approach
Below 1500 ft
- A/P F/D off then F/D A/P on
- Ensure desired modes adjust as required
Could
- TOGA and ALT HOLD
- Set desired modes
Autoland
- For OPT dry runway do calculation on wet/good
- for descent checklist. Call is “Radio 50 hidden”
- Brief what to do in case of downgrade could be say A/T or Land 2 that result in a Cat3A
