What did O. Chandu Menon do?
He tried to translate ‘Henrietta Temple’ written by Benjamin Disraeli into Malayalam but he realised that readers in Kerala could not relate to the life style of the characters in English novels. So he wrote a story in Malayalam called Indulekha which was the first modern novel in Malayalam and became very popular.
