Function - Forms part of haemoglobin that binds to oxygen.

Food source - Fish liver oil, liver, butter, carrots.
Effects of deficiency - Night blindness and damaged cornea.
Function - Making a chemical that protects the retina and also protects the surface of the eye.

Food source - Fresh fruit/veg.
Effects of deficiency - Scurvy.
Function - Needed for making cells and tissues stick together.
