A

■ Notify the supervisor of the unsafe work condition
■ Stay in a safe location until the situation is resolved
■ If the situation is not resolved, a joint investigation should be carried out by the supervisor and worker
■ Contact WorkSafe BC about the situation and get a prevention officer to investigate
■ Prevention Officer will conduct an investigation to determine whether the work condition is unsafe
■ If the Prevention Officer says it’s unsafe, they will issue an order to address the situation. If it’s safe, the worker may continue to refuse to work only if they follow a proper process
