What is the story of Aegisthus?
The story of Aegisthus is a story in which a man named Aegisthus murders Menelaus’ brother Agamemnon with the help of Agamemnon’s wife, Clytemnestra. Then Agamemnon’s son, Orestes, kills Aegisthus in revenge.
What happens when Athena visits Telemachus? (page 84)
When Athena visits Telemachus, she tells him about how much he looks like his father and makes a prophecy that his Odysseus will come home.
How does Athena inspire Telemachus?
By saying that “you must not cling to your boyhood…”, Athena inspires Telemachus to go search for Odysseus. She also says that he reminds her of Odysseus, which is exactly what he wanted to hear, and good motivation.
When does first Telemachus assert his power?
On page 87, Telemacbus finally stands up to the suitor, but also yells at his mother because he is taking charge as the “man of the house”.
What is Telemachus’ plan when its first stated?
Telemachus’ plan is if he hears Odysseus is alive and heading home, he will search for him one more year, but if he hears that he is dead, Telemachus will come back to Ithaca, give his father an honorable funeral, and marry his mother off.
What does Telemachus pray to Athena?
After yelling at the suitors, Telemachus prays to Athena about how she visited him yesterday and asks for help. Athena responds by giving him a thorough plan and helping him recruit volunteers to help him on his journey.
What does Athena pray to Poseidon?
Athena prays to Poseidon about giving Nestor and his sons glory, and safe passage home for her and Telemachus.

Helen drugs her guests because she is about to tell her story about the war, and doesn’t want them to get too mad at her.

Helens tells a story about being ut under a spell by Athena, and that’s why she cheated on her husband. This is so they won’t get mad at her, since she was the reason the whole Trojan war started and they had all lost many people in the war.

After hearing that Telemachus sailed to Pylos in search of his father, Antinous and Eurymachus plan to ambush and kill him.
