How was New Hollywood different to Classical Hollywood?
A
-Studios were less dominant. There was room for independently produced films.
-More flexibility for actors.
-Rise in new styles of acting such as improvisation and method acting.
-‘counterculture’ filmmaking revolution
-More complex and explicit themes: anti-heroes, sex, drugs
-Emphasis on irresolution
