When is a full IRS alignment required?
And a fast realignment?
Full IRS:
First flight of the day
Crew change
No GPS and poor Naviad cov enroute
No GPS and flight time >3 hours
Fast alignment:
If IRS position drifted >5nm
When is cockpit security search/emergency equipment check required?
Security search always, emergency equipment check when arriving at aircraft without crew handover

What position is the dome light recommended to be in & why?
Dim at night as if the a/c goes into emergency elec config it is the only light in cockpit that will remain on
When should you select probe/window heat on, when can it be switched off?
Switch on if cockpit windows frosted over on the ground
Probe heat can be switched off after first engine running as it will run automatically
When should pack flow be set to LOW?
Pax below 130
How is a battery test completed?
Switch off both batteries and then back on which will initiate a charge cycle. If the batteries do not need charging (which is what we want) we should see Amps below 60 and decreasing
How is the cockpit door test completed?
ANN light on, check lights on centre pedestal and 3 lights on overhead panel

Up to 6 tons - 400kg

What are the Ice Shedding procedures for A319/320 CEO and A320/321 NEO?
A319/320 CEO - OAT 3deg and less, engine to 70% for 30sec every 30 mins
A320/321 NEO - OAT 3deg and less, engine to 50% for 5 sec every 60 mins
Does WAI work on the ground?
No, if turned on it will do a self test for 30 seconds and then switch off
How do you check navigation accuracy and what are the criteria for reliable/unreliable FM position?
FM position unreliable if different between FM position (PROG page) and Navaid fix (real position) is >3nm
What are the LMC rules?
New form +10 / -20 pax
If LMC negative or less than +250kg and within 2%, no changes needed
If LMC positive and over 250kg or outside 2%, redo W&B and Perf
Which OEBs are currently applicable on certain aircraft?
OEB 57 Speedbrake limitation
If GWCG >35% or overweight landing do not use Speedbrakes below 240kts
Speedbrakes extended and up to 50 secs after their retraction AP has more authority in pitch for GA
In approach with flaps extended and significant aft CofG or overweight and AP engaged, could lead to over pitch in a GA
When should you complete a RTOW calculation?
When performance RTOW is likely to be less than max structural takeoff weight
What do you do if batteries are below 25.5v during cockpit setup?
Switch batteries to auto and select ground power.
Charging cycle should take approx 20 minutes
Can the APU fire test be done with APU running?
Yes
What is the benefit of running both ground power and APU with APU bleed
on whilst on the ground?
APU bleed air conditioning is more efficient as the APU is not having to supply the electrical network of the aircraft
What is the range of selectable zone temperatures?
18-30 degrees
How long should you press and hold ECAM recall button during transit?
At least 3 seconds to recall any previously cancelled warnings and cautions
What should you do it accumulator pressure if below the green range?
Put on Yellow Elec pump to recharge it
When do the NWS DISC appear on EWD and when does it turn amber?
When ground crew inserts NWS bypass pin into nose gear & turns amber when inserted and at least one engine running
