What is an organisation?
1 or a group of people forms a legally recognised organisation. They invest capital to generate future revenue and work together towards common goals.

A statement that outlines what the organisation wants to achieve
What is a mission statement?
A short declaration that describe the purpose of a specific org.
More explicit that a mission statement.

They will motivate people to work differently, work together and empower them.

Can’t have if there is no follower. They choose their own route, even if they don’t choose the target, and the destination

▫ Managers - Administer, ask ‘how’ and ‘when’, focus on systems, do things right, maintain setup, accept status quo, rely on control, imitate, imitate the classic good soldier, have an eye on the bottom line (Manage people) and they have a short-term perspective

Management focus on bottom line - “How can I accomplish certain things?”
Leadership focus on top line - “What are the things I want to accomplish?”

Managers put the leader’s vision into practice. They do things right and accept the status quo.

What are the 3 essential roles of a leader (What leadership involves)?
1st. Define the task (Clarify what is expected of the group)
2nd. Achieve the task (In a nutshell, why group exist. It ensures that the group’s purpose is fulfilled. If not, there will be frustration, criticism, and no harmony, and then disband)
