What is OED and what is HRs role?

A

organizational effectiveness development. HR should be involved in major organizational changes from the beginning. they can facilitate the improvement of employee understanding of change and communicate between management and employees. this can help with mitigating risks and increasing buy-in and trust between management and employees.

In regards to labor unions, what are MOUs and CBAs?

A

Memoranda of understanding and collective bargaining agreements which are written contracts between employer and unions. MOU is usually found in the public sector and CBA is usually private sector.

What is a job requisition?

A

A job requisition is a formal document that department managers use to request the hiring of the new employees. When department managers have a need for the additional workforce or replacing the existing one, they will fill out a job requisition.
