Answer 1

Organisms include Staph, group B strep and gram negative bacilli. Abx include an anti-staph agent (nafcillin or vance) PLUS gentamicin or cefotaxime

Tx of septic arthritis in >3 mos

Answer 2

Organisms include Staph, group A strep, and Strep pneuma. Abx include nafcillin, clindamycin, cefazolin or vancomycin.

Contrast patellar tendonitis to traction apophysitis

Answer 3

Patellar tendonitis causes point tenderness at the inferioor pole of the patella. In traction (aka osgood schlepper), there is edema and tenderness over tibial tubercle.
