the tendency for water to move into a system

pressure exerted by the contents of the cell on the cell wall
what does turgid mean?
a plant cell that holds as much water as possible
further entry of water is prevented as the cell wall cant expand further

pressure potential + solute potential
what is incipient plasmolysis?
cyptoplasm begins to pull away from cell wall
what is a plasmolysed cell?
when cyptoplasm completely pulled away from cell wall
