What is Step 1?
A
Use a cork borer to cut 5 potato cylinders or the same diameter

What is Stage 2?
A
Use a knife and a ruler to cut the cylinders to the same length

What is stage 3?
A
Measure the mass of each cylinder using a balance.
Record this in the table

A
Measure 10ml of each concentration into a different boiling tube. Label each tube with the concentration

A
Add one potato cylinder to boiling tube

A
Remove the potatoes and dry with paper towel

A
Measure the new mass using a balance

Now work out the change in mass and the % change in mass.
% change = change in mass ÷ starting mass
