Procedure for Emergency Evacuation?
A
- Inform driver there is imminent threat to life on the train, place TCOCs and make emergency call on GSM-R
- Create an escape route by releasing all doors on the safest side of the train
- If unable to confirm signal protection, carry out emergency protection
- Ensure passengers are in a position of safety
Report incident to DCM and await emergency services and RIO

Procedure following an uncontrolled evacuation?
A
- Make announcements to warning them of the dangers and risks of alighting the train
- Inform the driver who will make an emergency call and request Signal Protection
- Place TCOCs on adjacent line

Describe our actions when alerted to a fire on the train? (4)
A
- Contact the driver and inform them of the situation
- Turn off heaters and Air con
- Take AFFF extinguishers form the cab and investigate the fire
- Take appropriate actions depending on ability to put the fire out

What do we do if we are able to put out a fire on the train? (4)
A
- Move passengers out of area and lock carriage out of use
- Place competent person next to the fire location with an extinguisher in case it reignites
- Update the driver and inform DCM; follow their instructions
- Fill out form E
