Q

Goals of the acute management of the patient with ACS?

A
  1. Relief of ischemic pain
  2. Assessment of the patient’s hemodynamic status & correction abnormalities (HTN & Tachycardia -> BB + Nitroglycerin )
  3. Estimation of risk
  4. Choice of a management strategy: invasive ( PCI\CABG), conservative
  5. Initiation of antithrombotic therapy (including antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapies)
  6. BB to prevent recurrent ischemia and life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias
