The Earthquake triggered an avalanche on mount everst in which 19 were dead who were climbers and sherpas .
Deccrease in tourism in nepal (tourism is a very importnt part of the economy in nepal )
Eathqquake happened before monsoon season when rice is plnted , so was a loss of rice supplies and rice is nepal’s stape diet , two thirds of the population depend of farming rice seeds

nepal requested national help - DEC raised US$126million by sep 2015 to prodie emergency aid and start rebuilidng the worst-hti areas .
Tempaory shelters set up - red cross provided tents for 225000 people
WHO disitirbuted medical supplies - improtant as monsoon season arrived early increasing the risks of waterbone diseases
Nepals mountaineous terrain and inadequate roads madei r dificult to reach remote villages , sheraps were used to hike relie supplies to remote areas .
