What is distance?
How far an object moves, this is also a scalar quantity so does not have a direction
What is displacement?
A vector that includes the distance and the direction of a straight line of an object from an objects starting point to its finish point
What is velocity?
An objects speed in a given direction, An objects velocity changes even if its speed is constant
What is acceleration?
The change in velocity of an object per second
What is uniform acceleration?
When acceleration is constant
What is the typical speed of: walking, Running and Cycling?
1.5 m/s
3 m/s
6 m/s
What is air resistance?
The frictional drag force of air
What is terminal velocity?
The constant velocity a falling object when the frictional force acting on its is equal on its weight
What can be done to reduce the drag on an object?
Streamlining
