METHOD triple tank practical

A
  1. Set up the ripple tank with water, a vibrating bar, and a power source.
    1. Place a white paper or screen underneath to see wave shadows clearly.
    2. Turn on the vibrating motor to make continuous waves on the water surface.
    3. Use a strobe light and adjust it until the waves appear still (freezing motion).
    4. Measure the distance across 10 waves using a ruler.
    5. Divide this distance by 10 to get one wavelength (λ).
    6. Count how many waves pass a point in 10 seconds and divide by 10 for frequency (f).
    7. Calculate wave speed (v) using the formula:
