Unconscious asthma ventilation rates
2-4 years: 12-15 per minute
5-11 years: 10-14 per minute

Midazolam seizure
<1 year: 1mg IM

5-11 years: 2.5-5mg IM
12-15 years: 5mg IM
Repeat once after 10 minutes if required
Adrenaline anaphylaxis
10mcg/kg (max 500mcg) IM
Repeat @ 5 minute intervals
Ceftriaxone meningococcal septicaemia
50mg per kg (max 2g) IM
Dilute with 3.5mL 1% lignocaine to make 4mL
Ondansetron nausea
1-4 years: 2mg oral
5-11 years: 4mg oral
12-15 years: 4mg oral (repeat after 5-10 minutes if required)
Fentanyl
1-4 years: 25mcg IN
5-11 years: 25-50mcg IN
12-15 years: 50-75mcg IN
Repeat @ 5-10 minute intervals (consult after 3 doses)
Paracetamol
15mg/kg oral liquid
Defibrillation
4J per kg (max 200J)
Naloxone opioid overdose adult
Uncomplicated: 800mcg IM (repeat once after 10 minutes)
Complex: 100mcg IV (repeat @ 2 minute intervals, max 2000mcg)
Complex with no IV access: 400mcg IM once only
Naloxone opioid overdose paediatric
Opioid naive: 10mcg per kg IM (repeat once after 10 minutes)
Opioid dependent: 1-2mcg per kg IM (repeat once after 10 minutes)
