Derived from foregut
Ventral bud: head and main duct, uncinate process alone
Dorsal bud: everything else

A
Ventral bud abnormally encircles 2nd part of duodenum, leads to duodenal narrowing

Ventral and dorsal part fail to fuse at 8th week

A
Arise in mesentery of stomach (hence is mesodermal)
but is supplied by foregut (celiac artery)
