A

2010-2015, the government did not enjoy an electoral mandate as it was a coalition of 2 parties.

Since 2015, Liberal Democrat peers have suspended the Salisbury Convention, largely because the government was elected on such a small popular vote.

RSPCA- criticised the act for arbitrarily banning certain breeds- others are ‘safe’

2005-2006 the NHS reported a 76% increase in the number of admissions involving dog bites

1991 to 2018 37 people were killed by dogs in the UK despite the legislation
