By shimming behind the hinges with thin material to move the door latterly.

Offset the jambs in opposite directions at the bottom to being closer in alignment.

Why is casing installed with a reveal
So it will go past the strike plate and hinges without having to be notched around them

What is the purpose of gluing mitres as they are assembled?
Helps keep it tight and locks in place so to resist opening due to shrinkage and building movement
