How many V in the CV? What are they
3 ( V1, V2, and V3)

Sensory Innervation of face
V3 is for
muscles of mastication (chewing)
CVI - for extraocular movement nerves (directional movement of of eyeball)
Abducens nerve
CVII - muscles of facial expression
Facial nerve
vestibular means
equilibrium
cochlear means
hearing

‘pharynx’
CIX - posterior third of tongue and parotid gland. Responsible for the autonomic innervation of the parotid gland (largest salivary gland)
Glossopharyngeal nerve
CX - waders throughout the body (sensation and parasympathetic regulation)
Vagus Nerve
CXI - originating from the spinal chord and coming up into the skull, then existing again (motor nerve and innervates muscles)
Accessory nerve
CXII - innervates the majority of the tongue
- Also helps the move of head, neck and shoulder (sternocleidomastoid and trapezius muscles)
Hypoglossal nerve
