What are Verbs

A

Verbs are action words in a sentence that describe what the subject is doing. One clue to help you recognise what a verb is it’s location and compared to the subject. Verbs almost always come after a noun or pronoun. These nouns and pronouns are referred to as the subject.

Example:
Mark eats his dinner quickly
They thought about all the prizes in the competition.
