Nouns
A noun is the name of a person, place or thing.
For example Person:Girl, Boy, Teacher Place:School, Home, Store Thing:Pencil, Jacket, Dog Example Sentence: The Girl walked to school with her new dog.
Adjective
An adjective describes a noun or a pronoun. An adjective tells what kind, how many, or which one.
For example
What:Kind, happy, brave
How:Many, more, two
Which:One, this, that
Example Sentence: The Brave cat had more food then he could ever imagine.
Verb
A verb can tell what action somone or something is doing. A verb can also express a state of being.
For Example:
Action: Run, Jump, Ask
State of Being: Is, Am, Was
Example sentence: I jumped on my bed and i asked myself why.
Pronoun
A pronoun is used in place of a noun in a sentence. A proud may take the place of the name of a person, place, or thing.
For Example:
I, she, they, we, you, me.
Example Sentence:
Sarah won the race and she was very excited that she could party all night long.
Article
The words a, and, and the, belong to a special group of adjectives called articles. An article can be used before a noun in a sentence.
For Example:
A, and, the
Example Sentence: The boy ate an apple and it was very juicy.
Adverb
An adverb describes a verbs, adjectives, or another adverb. An adverb tells how, when, where, or to what degree.
For Example: How: Quickly When: Today Where: Outside What Degree: Barely
Example Sentence: Today i had to run quickly to the store to get the milk. But i almost forgot my money.
Preposition
Position combines with a noun or a pronoun to form a phrase that tells something about another word in a sentence.
For Example:
From, to, over, behind, after, until, with
Example Sentence: The boy hid behind the table, trying to hide from his brother but after his brother checked over the table he saw his head poking out.
Conjunction
A conjunction joins together single words or groups of words in a sentence.
For Example:
And, But, Or, For, Yet, So
Example Sentence: The boy and the girl had two apples but they didn’t know that one had a worm in it. So the boy and the girl ate the apples and the boy threw up.
Common Nouns
Common Nouns are used to name a person, animal, place, thing.
For Example: Person: Miller Animal: Dog Thing: Table Place: Store
Example Sentence: Miller walked the dog to the store and bought a new table.
Collective Nouns
Collective nouns name a group or collection of things.
For Example:
Murder of Crows, Flock Of Birds, Herd of cows.
Example Sentence: The Murder of crows were lurking around the park, flying mysteriously.
Abstract Noun
Abstract nouns are a name, feeling/emotion or ideas. Things that you can’t feel/touch.
For Example:
Feeling/Emotion: Happy, Sad, Angry
Idea: To design something, Make something, a thought
Name: Miller, Oliver, Mikail
Example Sentence: Oliver and mikail were both really happy with their new thought to create easier learning.
Superlative Adjectives
Superlative Adjectives compares two or more things generally uses the suffix ‘est’.
For Example: Fastest, Slowest, Best.
Example Sentence: I was the fastest in year year level but Oliver was the slowest.
Comparative Adjectives
Comparative Adjectives compare to things and generally uses the suffix ‘er’
For Example: Faster, Slower, better
Example Sentence: I was faster then my brother at running.
Past Tense
Past tense is an action that has occurred in the past. It tends to use the suffix ‘ed’.
For Example: Crawled, Jumped, Walked
Example Sentence: He crawled under the bed then walked back to where he had stared and then he jumped on the bed.
Future Tense
Future tense is an action that is
