Describe the RAAS pathway
A
Angiotensinogen is produced by liver
It is turned into angiotensin 1 via renin, which itself is produced by the kidney
Ang 1 is turned into Ang 2 by ACE
Ang 2 acts in the adrenals to create aldosterone
Aldosterone works in the vessels and the kidneys - vasoconstriction and reabsorption of sodium and water
