4 major regions, north-south:
- La Pampa
- Neuquén
- Río Negro
- Chubut
What are the subregions in Neuquén region?
3 subregions:
- Añelo
- Confluencia
- Rio Limay
famous for dinosaurs fossils, have sandier and lighter soils than Río Negro
white: Chardonnay, Sauv Blanc
red: Malbec, Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Pinot Noirs
What are the subregions in Río Negro region?
3 subregions:
- General Roca (upper)
- Avellaneda (middle)
- Adolfo Alsina (lower)
Negro River flows eastward from Neuquen into South Atlantic creating river oasis and tons of old vines from the past
Pinot Noir most exciting, with Cab Sauv, Merlot, Malbec
Old vines Semillon and Trousseau can be found here
top producers: Bodegas Chacra, Bodega Noemia, Riccitelli

2 zones:
- Trevelin
- Sarmiento
wines are like Oregon
