What do renown points represent in a Path to Glory army?
The growing experience of your warriors as they survive from battle to battle.
Renown points are recorded for each unit in the Order of Battle.
How many renown points does a unit gain if it survives a battle?
D3 renown points.
Units that took part in the battle and were not destroyed gain these points.
What happens to a unit that is destroyed in a battle regarding renown points?
It gains no renown points.
What is the maximum number of renown points a favoured warrior can gain?
D6 renown points.
The favoured warriors rule allows you to pick one unit to gain extra renown points.
What type of units do not gain renown points?
Unique units.
What rank does a unit achieve after gaining 5 renown points?
Aspiring rank.
What can a unit do each time it gains a rank?
Choose 1 of 2 different abilities from the appropriate step on its Path.
What are the ranks a unit can gain in order?
- Aspiring
- Elite
- Mighty
- Legendary
What must you do to complete a quest?
Check your current quest to see if you can complete it or record any progress in your Quest Log.
What happens when you complete a quest?
You earn its reward and can pick a new quest.
Anything written in your Quest Log is then removed.
Can the same quest be completed multiple times by your army?
Yes, unless stated otherwise.
What can you choose to do during the ‘giving up on a quest’ step?
Clear your Quest Log and pick a new quest.
What is the purpose of the Favoured Warriors rule?
To ensure that your most valorous unit in the battle is rewarded.
When can you pick which unit will be your favoured warriors?
After they have earned renown for fighting the battle.
What happens once a unit has gained the Legendary rank?
It does not earn any further ranks.
