- Absence of ovulation when it would be normally expect
- Can be caused by high stress, inadequate nutrition, obesity, or hormonal imbalance
Anovulation
*Originates within the cells of the ovaries
* Can break away from the ovaries and spread (metastasize)
* Difficult to detect in early stages
Ovarian Cancer
Inflammation of the fallopian tubes cause by a bacterial infection, usually a result of an STD
Salpingitis
Condition in which patches of endometrial tissue escape the uterus and become attached to other structures in the pelvic cavity
Endometriosis
*Slow growing squamous cell cancer
* Caused by human papilloma viruses (HPV) which are spread through sexual contact
* Difficult to detect in early stages
Cervical Cancer
Pain during sexual intercourse
Dyspareunia
Abnormal absence of menstrual periods for 90 days or more
Amenorrhea
- Menstrual cramps
- pain caused by uterine contractions during the menstrual period
Dysmenorrhea
An excessive amount of menstrual flow, sometimes over a period of more than 7 days
Menorrhagia
Pain in the breast
Mastalgia
