where do crime statistics come crime?

A

victim survey is the crime survey of england and wales, covers approx 35,000 adults.
survey asks about the crime the individuals have been victims of within the last year, and asks whether they reported these crimes to the police

what is the problem with official statistics?

A

some people are missing - children, homeless etc
some crimes are not asked about - corporate crime
some crimes may still be under-reported - dv
