Q: What is power in relationships and how can it affect health, safety, and wellbeing?
Power in relationships is the ability to influence or control others. Positive power leads to respect and support, improving wellbeing. Negative power can lead to control, abuse, or manipulation, which harms mental and emotional health.
What are the positive effects of healthy power in relationships?
Encourages respect, trust, open communication, safety, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
What are the negative effects of unhealthy power in relationships?
Can cause stress, anxiety, depression, isolation, low self-esteem, and unsafe environments.
