Keto Diet - The keto diet is a low-carb, high-fat diet that helps the body burn fat for energy instead of carbs.
What are some disadvantages of fad diets?
They can be unhealthy, hard to stick to, and low in nutrients.
What are specific disadvantages of the keto diet?
Low fibre, constipation, bad breath, and missing nutrients.
List the 5 food groups.
Vegetables, fruit, grains, lean meats/alternatives, dairy/alternatives.
Why are food labels important?
They help people make healthier food choices.
What does the Health Star Rating tell you?
How healthy a product is out of 5 stars.
Name the different marketing strategies.
Discounts, Celebrity Endorsements, Catchy slogans/jingles, Emotionally targeted sales, Health claims, Packaging, Sponsorship.
How can marketing affect young people?
It can make unhealthy food seem cool, fun, or popular. Ads often use bright colours, celebrities, or catchy slogans to grab attention and influence choices.
What is power in a relationship?
The ability to influence what someone else does.
List the 5 different forms of power.
Coercive, Reward, Legitimate, Referent, Expert.
What’s an example of coercive power?
Threatening to hurt someone if they don’t obey.
List some rights you have in a respectful relationship.
To feel safe, be treated fairly, be listened to, to be able to say no, and have your own opinions.
What is coercive power?
Power from fear or threats. Someone uses fear or threats to control others.
What is reward power?
Power from giving rewards. Someone uses rewards to influence others.
What is legitimate power?
Power from a role or job.
What is referent power?
Power from being liked or admired.
What is expert power?
Power from knowing a lot. Having special skills or knowledge that people respect a lot.
List some negative uses of power.
Bullying, threats, controlling others, ignoring someone’s feelings.
List some positive uses of power.
Helping others, supporting friends, standing up for someone, sharing fairly.
How does power link to coercive control?
Coercive control is a misuse of power to scare, control, or isolate someone.
