Symptoms are sores that appear on hands feet and in and around the mouth
Ulcers may appear on tonsils if not presented outwardly

A

Caused by a variety of factors
Symptoms consist of wheezing, SOB, low O2 sat, sometimes patients are unable to talk due to throat inflammation
Exposure to allergens, smoke, perfumes, weather changes, etc. can trigger flare-ups
Treatment is done using albuterol, Pulmicort, Solu Medrol, O2
Tripod positioning may help alleviate symptoms along with relaxation techniques

Causes elevated blood pressure and some nervousness
Reassurance and relaxation methods can help with their anxiety

Patients present at birth with certain abnormalities such as a palmar crease, stocky build, flat round face, etc.
Older patients will present as short and stocky with very distinct, rounded, facial features and learning disabilities
