Q

Describe how narcotic analgesics can be dangerous for an athlete

A

Because the PED takes away pain, meaning that the athlete will work their body past the point their body can cope with due to the drug masking the pain. Due to this, this would mean that the athlete would keep hurting themselves more and more until their body disfunctions which could mean an injury that can’t be repaired.
