What is perception?
The ability to hear, see, or become aware of something through the senses
What is sensation?
any concrete, conscious experience resulting from stimulation of a specific sense organ, sensory nerve, or sensory area in the brain.
What is height in plane?
How high an object is positioned in an image
What is Relative size?
How big on object looks in an image
What is occlusion?
When an object partially overlaps another
What is linear perspective?
When 2 straight lines seeming at an angle converge at a point on the horizon

What is a monocular depth cue?
Something that only requires 1 eye to do
What is a binocular depth cue?
Something that requires both eyes to do

They are another cause of illusion

An unproven or imaginary concept
What is ambiguity?
Behaviour pattern
What is motion parallax?
How we see or what we move; the closer an object the more it seems to move, the further an object the less it seems to move
What is meant by inference?
An inference is a conclusion based on prior knowledge and experiences
What is meant by the term perceptual set?
the influence of cognitive and motivational state on perception
What is the affect of perceptual set on culture?
Culture dictates how people expect to see things
What is the affect of perceptual set on emotion?
Different emotions can ‘set’ us to perceive information in a particular way which is consistent with the emotion being experienced
