To form the perfect tense of most verbs what do you need?
- Part of the verb avoir
- A past participle (joué, regardé, ect - this is like the ‘ed’ in English played/watched ect)
To form the past participle of -er verbs what do u do
- Remove the -er ending
- Replace it with é
- E.g. regarder becomes regardé = watched
How to form past participle of -ir ending verbs
- Remove the -ir ending
- Replace it with I
- E.g. finir becomes fini = finished

- Remove the -re ending
- Replace it with u
